It doesn’t matter whether you are a native of Lagos, if you have lived in Lagos all your life or if you migrated into Lagos State, everyone has the opportunity to access MTN’s Y’ello Doctor. How cool is that! Through state-of-the-art mobile clinics, stellar medical services will be provided to residents in Lagos.
The Y’ello Doctor project by the MTN Foundation is set to provide primary healthcare services to Lagosians. The initiative is focused on providing access to medical screenings and diagnosis, vaccinations, drug prescriptions and treatments.
Recall that since the commissioning of the Y’ello Doctor Initiative in November 2021, MTN Foundation has handed over the mobile clinics to Kwara, Gombe, Kano Anambra and now, the Lagos State Government. The mobile clinic will be deployed to select rural communities, markets and local governments within Lagos state to provide medical services, and this is done in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
Speaking on the Y’ello Doctor Intervention, the Hon. Commissioner for Health Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi, commended the MTN Foundation for the intervention and stated that the intervention in partnership with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and the State Ministry of Health will make it easy for Lagosians in rural communities to access medical care.
The MTN Y’ello Doctor Initiative is one of the health interventions under one of the Foundation’s key focus areas which is National Priority, that provides free medical care and drugs for people in semi-urban and rural areas in Nigeria through mobile clinics.
